Domus Dei

There was this engraving above a door of this church, I thought it might be a good title. It's the second time I was frustrated not being able to take the photo I had in mind (the first was 2006-11-18). So I put this one which isn't at all what I had in mind but turned out pretty nice (in my opinion of course). Oh for people wondering why I use high ISO:
- I sort of like grain, of course digital noise isn't as nice as film grain in my opinion. I remember some 800 iso film photos I made which had a really nice grain adding to the mood of the photos.
- I heard that there are some laws saying that use of tripod needed authorization (of course if you do quickly and nobody notice where's the problem).
- I own a tripod, but it seems that it's not as good as I imagined when I first bought it (strangelly the default horizontal position... isn't horizontal and it's really hard to get horizontal)
- The tripod I own is kind of big, and I can't put it in a bag or take it with me without being very bothered.

Of course I'm trying to go down in ISO.. but night photos without tripod is hard... I think the best I can do is 800... depending of lights of course.
